It’s been five years since we’ve even had a post on the LSCSN.com message board about Texas private school field hockey.
Yet we know that there are at least 21 former Texas private school field hockey players on a collegiate roster this school year. (We hope to have a complete list for you soon!)
And 18 Texas private and parochial schools (including Oklahoma City Casady) will have field hockey teams this season – 13 in the Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC) and five that are members of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS).
They are, by city, as follows:
Arlington – Oakridge
Austin – St. Stephen’s Episcopal, St. Andrew’s Episcopal
Bellaire – Episcopal
Dallas – Greenhill, Episcopal School of Dallas, Parish Episcopal, Hockaday
Fort Worth – Trinity Valley, Country Day, All Saints Episcopal
Houston – Kinkaid, St. John’s, Houston Christian, St. Agnes, Duchesne Academy
Oklahoma City – Casady
San Antonio – Saint Mary’s Hall
The season kicks off tomorrow, Friday, August 11, at Dallas Greenhill School’s Playday Tournament involving Austin St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, Arlington Oakridge School, Bellaire Episcopal High School and the host, Dallas Greenhill School.
LSCSN has gone through each school’s website – not yet including anything listed on MaxPreps.com – and has compiled a pretty thorough, composite Texas private school field hockey schedule for 2017.
They’ve been posted on the Message Board by months:
Young ladies, take your best shot on the field and we’ll do our best to keep up this year.
However, don’t hesitate to go to the Message Board and post a result or point us to where they’re being maintained.
Best wishes from all of us at LSCSN.com on a great 2017 field hockey season!
