Thought For The Day by Al Boulden

2 Corinthians 5:7  “For we live by faith, price not by sight.”

The Apostle Thomas was a “sight-filled believer.”  You have heard of “Doubting Thomas?”  When told that Christ had risen from the tomb, Thomas said he would not believe unless he touched the wounds himself.  Imagine his remorse when Christ touched his shoulder.  Many question the validity of the Bible and wonder whether it is the inerrant Word of God.  Brilliant scholars have tested it for centuries, coming away as staunch supporters of Christ.  Recent scholars include C.S. Lewis, Lee Stroebel and Josh McDowell.  Each was atheistic before researching.  Each has written books with compelling arguments for the Truth.  Had the crucified body been found, Christianity would have evaporated within days. Christ rose from the tomb and communed with over 500 people during a 40 day time period.  Before ascending to heaven, He promised to return where He will judge the world….sinner and saved alike.  Each will receive what is due. Our faith is justified in what was and what will be.  Faith is our cornerstone that provides eternal sight…and life.

Lord, thank You for steadfast faith in Christ.  Give us courage and conviction to stand firm and share the goodness that comes solely from You.  Allow our personal faith to contagiously impact those around us.  Use us for Your good.

Live by faith today.
