Hebrews 3:12-13 “See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘Today,’ so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”
God is alive! He knows your needs, and He promises never to leave those who remain steadfast in Him. In God’s infinite wisdom, He allows Satan to roam with intent to dampen our faith. God’s also emboldens us with power to choose between good and evil. We are not robots who blindly go through life. Encouragement from fellow Believers strengthens faith and diminishes the chatter from the evil one. God desires willing servants who live to glorify Him. By-product of this heart-felt attitude is an “abundant life” that captures joy regardless of circumstances. In our weakest moments, we feel the presence of God to carry us through…..if we choose. That’s why encouragement from brothers and sisters is so essential. Did you note the word “daily” in the Scripture? Encouragement is not just for times when tragedy or trials occur. It should be daily. We can be givers or receivers of encouragement every day. Prayer and meditation on God’s Word, combined with encouragement from others, builds a maturing Spirit that shines brightly in this dark world.
Lord, thank You for brothers and sisters who exhort and encourage. Remind us to be givers and receivers of such encouragement. Keep our eyes fixed on You, and garble noise from the evil one.
Encourage brothers and sisters today.
