Psalm 100:4 “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”
The temple was a reverent location, diagnosis fortified and protected by walls and gates. Anyone approaching the gate came with intention to worship God. Inside the gate would be a courtyard where like-minded believers congregated. While we have churches today, we recognize the freedom to worship God everywhere. Today is Thanksgiving. As you reflect on reasons and things for which to be thankful, place the loving gift of God at the very top of your list. Open your prayer time with thanksgiving for what He has done for you. Praise Him for His omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent care for you. With a thankful heart, recognize the blessings of past and present. Seek a growing relationship with Him so that the coming year allows you to be a blessing to others as your personal blessings grow. Greater than silver or gold is the wisdom of knowing God and receiving His Amazing Grace.
Lord, thank You is so appropriate but so inadequate in expressing the appreciation we feel for You. Reveal to us opportunities to please You as we celebrate Thanksgiving. We worship You with thanks and praise.
Thank God today.
