Thought For The Day by Al Boulden

Romans 8:19  “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

Eyes on the eternal prompt a different attitude than the view we take with a born in sin nature.  We are born with sin and self-absorption for personal pleasure.  “It’s all about me.”  The Lord changes that when we surrender.  We grow to serve Him and care more for others.  We still enjoy blessings that come our way, but they are seen differently than before.  Sufferings have a different feel.  We have a Savior who embraces and comforts when we cry out.  His comfort soothes so that peace is found.  That peace exhilarates and inspires others.  Satan cannot defeat a soul who is fully sold out for the Lord.  Allow present sufferings to help you understand maturity in the Lord.  Be inspired by the saints that have gone before you. Be an example for those who are watching you.  Let the glory of God shine in You.

Lord, thank You for victory over present sufferings.  Fill us with courage and peace so that joy is obvious.  You fill every hole, and your blessings are overflowing.

Reflect His glory today.
