Jeremiah 17:7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.”
American currency carries the phrase, “IN GOD WE TRUST.” Do we really? Better yet, “Do YOU really?” We must as individuals answer that question. Many trust in self; others cling to a spouse or profession; it’s proven foolish to trust our government. Trust refers to something or someone that can be relied upon regardless of circumstances. God is the only rock on which trust can be built. If that’s the case, why do bad things happen to Christians? God refines us through adversity. That’s when we learn about trust. God promises Believers eternal life in heaven. He promises to walk with Followers through every storm until then. There are times when he actually carries us. We can trust God during highs and lows. He will never leave those who look to Him. Take it to the bank: “Trust is the Lord.”
Lord, thank You for being trustworthy. We place trust in You and seek Your wisdom, guidance and courage to face the enemy. Use us as beams of light in darkness that is gaining momentum in our country. We trust You.
Trust God only today.
