Romans 6:1-2 “What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?”
Grace is the unmerited gift from God that is given to those who confess, repent and surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Since it can’t be earned or lost, is living a life in sin okay? Anyone who believes that is fooled and must question the sincerity of their conversion. Understanding sin nature that could never be washed away on its own deepens the understanding of grace-filled gratitude for God. We know how bad we were(are) and we so appreciate the cleansing that comes from the blood of Jesus. Comprehension of grace prompts a paradigm shift in daily behavior. By no means perfected, but a desire to please God on a daily basis becomes real. It is no longer I who lives but Christ in me. Habits change because of grace; grace comes because of Jesus Christ. Praise God!
Lord, thank You for grace and the changed life that results. Keep the realness of grace alive in our heart so that a radical transformation draws others to you.
