Titus 2:11-12 “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say, ‘No’ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,”
Grace of God redeems from past sins and provides hope for the future and for today. Receiving God’s gift of grace seals with certainty our position in heaven. Understanding the nature of God’s love and this unmerited gift deepens affection for our Lord so that daily living becomes more Christ-like. There is a saying in Christian circles: “Once saved, always saved.” Here’s a slight tweak: “IF saved, always saved.” Receiving Christ as Lord & Savior should be followed by life-changing habits. Some may think they are saved with the casual raising of a hand or stroll down the aisle of a church. Daily habits will change if the born-again experience is real. For some, it’s radical change and others experience a gradual transformation. Either way, the Believer should find new lenses for daily living. Grace is offered to all people. Only those who truly receive are saved.
Lord, thank You for grace that leads to heaven and transformed living in this present age. Fill us with desire to walk the righteous path and consciously say no to sin.
Live self-controlled and upright today.
