Saints Remain Unbeaten, Defeat Eagles

In a battle of unbeatens, thumb the St. Thomas Episcopal Saints defeated St. Joseph in 5 games on Tuesday night to lay claim to first place in TAPPS 3A District 6. The Saints dropped the first set 23-25 and rebounded to capture the second set 25-9. After scoring 11 of the first 14 points in set two, the Saints forced St. Joseph to take a timeout. The Eagles would only score 5 more points in the set.

St. Joseph rallied in set three to win 25-21. The Saints would win the fourth and fifth sets 25-21 and 15-4 on the dominant serving of Caroline Moreyra and Kathleen Johnson.

The Saints are now 3-0 in district play while the Eagles drop to 3-1 in league action. St. Thomas Episcopal will play Logos Prep on Thursday. St. Joseph will face off against The Woodlands Christian, also 3-1 in league play.
