U Conn violations involve former San Antonio Cornerstone player

Reports are that the NCAA hammer will come down on UConn mens basketball program for recruiting violations concerning an unnamed recruit, believed to be the nomadic former San Antonio Cornerstone Christian basketball player, Nate Miles, who never ended up playing at UConn due to an expulsion for violating a protective order against a women who claimed Miles assaulted her.

Miles ended up playing for a junior college in Idaho, declared for the NBA draft (but wasn't drafted) and played for an NBA developmental team before being released.

As usual, in the dirty, seedy side of high school basketball, the young man was used, abused, coddled, and undisciplined by handlers until he was no more use to them and tossed out like yesterday's trash.  Part of me feels like he was the victim in this entire mess ... from all the "schools" he attended (like Cornerstone, who sang his praises on how he "found the Lord" until it was time to find a greener pasture to shoot the ball) and those "handlers" who packaged him like a piece of Grade A choice steak at the meat counter of basketball coaches grocery stores ...

These really are sad stories. And the fact that "Christianity" gets tied into this nonsense makes it even worse.

yes, terribly sad story. Even sadder: not the first nor the last.....in every respect mentioned by all above. Darn Shame.
