Victoria Faith Academy (TAPPS 2A) is currently accepting applications for the position of Athletic Director/Varsity Boy’s Basketball Coach for the 2010-11 school year. Candidates must have excellent organizational and leadership skill to lead an entire athletic department for both the Junior High and High School. Previous experience in athletic administration and coaching high school basketball is strongly preferred. A passion for Christian Education and student development is essential.
Faith Academy will open a brand-new 500+ seat competition gym in 2010-2011. This year each team sport advanced to the Area Round of the playoffs, with three teams (Boy’s Basketball, Girl’s Basketball, Softball) advancing to the Regional Finals. In the last 5 years, the boy’s basketball team has won four district championships, advanced to three Regional Finals, and made one Final Four appearance. During that time, Faith Academy has also made Final Four appearances in volleyball and girl's basketball; and has claimed four gold medals at the State Track Meet.
Interested candidates need to submit a resume, letter of interest, and a list of references to Faith Academy Superintendent, Dr. Chris Royael, either via email at croyael@ffcvictoria.org or by fax to 361.573.5058.

Congrats on the new job, Coach! Just curious, is the job at Faith still open? I noticed that its no longer posted on the TAPPS job board.

Thanks! I'm really excited about the possibilities at LCCS. The job at Faith is no longer open ... official announcement should come some time next week.

Former Tomball Rosehill Christian assistant girl's coach Alan Driggers is the new head boy's basketball coach and athletic director at Victoria Faith.

Wow....congrats to Alan! At the same time, I guess Rosehill will be losing a solid player from their girls program, assuming he's not leaving Mande behind :-)

Yeah that definitely changes the dynamics of the Lady Eagles for 2010-11.

Mande is going with us and Rosehill will be fine. They have a great group of girls coming back that are very close and Krantz will get everything possible out of them. They also have a transfer who started as a sophomore at Tomball High a UIL 5A program that won their district last year. She will be a big impact.
The opportunity is wonderful, and it was the hardest decision I have ever made.

Also it was a nice article that John Hillman did about the move on LSCSN, the only thing I wish he would have added was my comment about how I was able to take this position. I have been blessed to have worked with two great men and mentors, Len Shelby & Steve Krantz. Without their leadership and teaching, I would not be in a position or able to accept this position. It is hard to leave them and Rosehill and their is no way I will ever be able to thank them enough.

Hey Coach,
Good luck on the move, Just remember, state goes through Northeast Christian Academy. See your team at Tomball.
