From a Topeka Capital Journal Blog:
Caught up with Mike Babb on the drive home today -- his son Chris is transferring out of Penn State after two seasons, and K-State seems like a logical option.
There was mutual interest with K-State before Babb signed with Penn State, but the timing wasn't right. We'll see what happens this time around, but K-State makes sense on several levels: Frank Martin has a successful history with transfers, and K-State will be looking to bolster its backcourt once Denis Clemente and Jacob Pullen graduate.
Babb, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard, had a nice sophomore season for Penn State: 9.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 37 percent from behind the 3-point line. His numbers went up in Big Ten play, and he finished the season with four straight double-digit games.
Babb actually was born in Topeka before he moved to Texas, and he has all kinds of ties around here. He won't make any decisions until after the NCAA Tournament -- not a ton of recruiting going on right now, anyway -- but look for him to land somewhere in the Midwest.
