AUSTIN – The Hyde Park Panthers captured another district championship on Wednesday night by beating St. Michaels 13-0. Hyde Park jumped out to an 8-0 lead after one inning and never looked back. St. Anthony Edges Central Catholic 5-4
SAN ANTONIO – St. Anthony held on late to earn a 5-4 district win over Central Catholic. Julian Cantu went the distance for the Yellow Jackets to get the win, striking out eight and allowing three walks. The Jackets trailed 1-0 until the third inning when they plated a run and then added one in the fifth inning and three runs in the sixth. Freshman Jeremy Garcia led all hitters, going 2-for-2 at the plate with one RBI and two runs scored. St. Anthony won their first district game while Central Catholic drops to 3-2 in league play.
