Hyde Park Wins in Extras
It took eleven innings for someone to score and Hyde Park plated two runs in the top of the 11th to win 2-0 over Regents. Matthew Williams drove in the winning run with a double and picked up the save on the mound. Starting pitcher Jason Ruffcorn struck out nine Knights hitters and Seth DeVries picked up the win. The Panthers are now 5-0 in district play.

St. Thomas Keeps on Winning, troche 7-2 over St. Pius X
The St. Thomas baseball team is on a 16-game win streak and a 26-game unbeaten streak after sweeping the season series vs district rival St. Pius X on Thursday night. The Eagles got all they needed in the first inning, link exploding for seven runs in the frame. St. Thomas, no rx along with Prestonwood Christian, are the only remaining unbeaten teams in TAPPS 5A.

Harvest Christian Clinches District Crown
The Watagua Harvest Christian Saints clinched a district title after a 19-1 road win at Canterbury Episcopal.

Brazos Christian Keeps Rolling in Win Over Alpha Omega
The Alpha Omega Lions got off to a quick start against Brazos Christian and took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning. That lead quickly disappeared when Brazos Christian scored two runs in the second inning and added two more runs in fourth and fifth innings. The Eagles got another complete game gem from Cooper Kay, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out eleven. Truitt Baldwin led the Eagles at the plate with two hits and two RBI. Brazos Christian moves to 7-0 in district play.

Cypress Christian Gets Big Win Over Emery Weiner
In a battle for second place in TAPPS 5-4A, the Cypress Christian Warriors defeated the Emery/Weiner Jaguars 8-7. Emery gets a chance to even the season series with the Warriors on Saturday while Cypress Christian controls their own destiny as they have yet to face district-leading Second Baptist. The first matchup between the top two teams is scheduled for next Tuesday, April 19.
