63 Texas Private and Parochial HS Athletes Chosen as School Winners in Wendy’s HS Heisman Program

The Lone Star Christian Sports Network (LSCSN.com) wishes to congratulate the 63 young men and women from Texas private and parochial high schools who were announced today  – October 18, 2017 – as School Winners in the Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship program.

Nearly 770 Texas high school student-athletes, who maintained a GPA (grade point average) of 3.0 or better, is a proven leader and role model in their school and community and perform in one of 47 school-sponsored sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee or the National Federation of State High School Associations.

One male and one female state winner will be announced on Thursday, October 19, 2017 by the program and will receive a $1,000 college scholarship and will become eligible to be selected as one of 10 national finalists.

The 63 young men and women from Texas private and parochial high schools compete in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS), the Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC), the Texas Christian Athletic League (T-CAL) and the Texas Christian Athletic Fellowship (TCAF).
