The Lubbock Christian softball team ran rampant through their 2016 schedule right up until the state championship where they were beaten by Schertz John Paul II, 6-3. The Lady Eagles shutout and run-ruled each of their opponents in the playoffs and won a remarkable 35 games last year. With such a dominating season, the Lady Eagles still felt disappointed and aim to make up for that feeling in 2017.
The LCHS team will be led by a new manager in Ches Tucker, who takes over after assistant stints at Frenship and Pampa. Tucker takes over a squad that returns 5 everyday players and is the clear favorite to claim yet another district title.
Lubbock Christian begins their season on February 13th on the road against Littlefield before playing in the Lubbock tournament. The Eagles will also play in the North Texas Invitational as well as the Panhandle Showdown in Amarillo.
